JJ Dark is the alter ego of a nameless accomplished writer, journalist and publisher.
Since she could hold a pen, JJ’s owner has been creating stories and poems for fun, taking inspiration from the natural world, humanity’s colourful history, and its disastrous relationship with Earth. That naïve young love of words has transgressed into a career of crafting written works for anyone who’ll pay, a venture that’s allowed for a great work-life balance and extensive family travels.
But being paid to write crap you hate for people you despise isn’t particularly healthy, or fulfilling. So while the owner may continue to sell her soul to keep the lights on, JJ has been given a home to truly unleash their creativity.
JJ is a lover of all things dark, unexplained and frightening. Drawing inspiration from the bleakest emotions – grief, fear, regret, jealousy – JJ crafts novels, stories and poems designed to make you think. Forget fairy tale endings, you can never predict where you’re going to end up when you take a trip through JJ’s books.
One thing is guaranteed, though. It’ll be one hell of a ride.
